Information Specialist
The Information Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of computer systems at CCCS, Inc operations in Montana, Washington, and North Dakota.
Essential Functions: Assists in the design, revision, development and implementation of CCCS, Inc policies and procedures as they apply to Information Systems. Assists in the physical design, development, implementation and management of all CCCS, Inc. computer network systems. Ensures all Information System policies and procedures comply with corporate policies. Compiles reports and statistical information as requested by appropriate staff ensuring all reports are thorough, concise and timely. Ensures the methods used for receipt, safeguarding, disbursing and recording of any and all CCCS, Inc. information comply with accepted professional practices. Performs the necessary record keeping for purposes of internal controls relative to Information System purchases. Provides staff training and in-service development as directed. Demonstrates knowledge & responsibility in performance of duties as prescribed by facility procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Answer help desk calls and document resolutions. Proficient with Windows Domain controllers with AD, and Microsoft Office and Office 365. Strong understanding of routing, IP protocols, and other technical proficiencies. Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time and properly prioritize the order in which they are resolved.
Troubleshoot software and applications, including but not limited to: general PCorkstation support, basic network troubleshooting, and AV support. Able to assist with installations and upgrades of a wide range of software and applications. Provide technical support and basic training to employees. The ability to successfully gather all required and relevant information, from users and systems, to troubleshoot tickets to completion. Take ownership of all support tickets and effectively escalate when required. Create new users (across all systems) and emails. Document important information. Maintain confidentiality with regards to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network. Bring to the attention of IT management if any documentation is out of date or needs revision. Troubleshoot, backup, and restore mobile phones. Run, terminate, and test cable. Stage and deploy workstations. The ability to work individually and as part of team. The ability to collaborate within a team on a wide variety of projects.
Education Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Computer Science or other equivalent experience.
Experience Required: Demonstrated experience in a professional information system capacity is preferred.
