Generating Careers – Empowering Lifestyles With Great Opportunities and Benefits Journeyman Plant Technician Minnkota Power is seeking qualified applicants for a Journeyman Plant Technician responsible for instrumentation & control maintenance at the Milton R. Young Station located in Center, ND. The Milton R. Young Station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant, providing a stable energy source for our cooperative member-owners. The station is located 35 miles from Bismarck, North Dakota, a growing and progressive city with many recreational opportunities.

The position of Journeyman Plant Technician - Instrumentation has the following responsibilities: • Job duties will include, but not limited to, install, maintain, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, configuration and repair of power plant instrumentation, pneumatics, electronics, electrical and process control systems. • Read and update prints. Employee will assist in performing tests as required by plant operation, maintenance and engineering. • Primary duties center around preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and maintaining existing operational systems. Prior experience in an electric power plant and/or industrial setting is preferred. • Operate, clean, install and maintain all instrument shop equipment. • Performs work alone or in conjunction with other employees depending upon the character and nature of the work assignments. • Performs typical duties and works with maintenance classifications as a composite crew in the normal performance of duties. • The ability to work overtime including call out overtime. • Work assignments are both indoors and outdoors. Required A two year degree in electrical, electronic, instrumentation technology or equivalent. Equivalent technical maintenance work experience may be considered.
