SUMMARY:

This position is located in Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (EPRP) with the Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD). The position is primarily responsible for support of the EPRP and Department Command Center (DCC), alternate DCC and mobile command center. Activities include maintaining and testing a variety of radio systems; maintaining associated documentation for radio systems; maintaining computers; maintaining and operating audiovisual system for DCC; establishing and maintaining partnerships with outside agencies and track command and communication resources; developing and maintaining informational displays utilizing geospatial analysis software.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position functions at Program Management level (Tier 2) as defined by the Council on Linkages Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals in the Emergency Preparedness and Response Program with integration of all Core Competency Domains. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in Emergency Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field with three years of experience in Emergency Management and/or related field

    OR

  • Bachelor of Science in related field plus four years of experience in related field
  • Valid Oklahoma driver license required
  • Valid Amateur Radio license issued by the Federal Communications Commission
  • Additional related communications and/or computer licenses preferred
