Our Enterprise Application Services Department is looking to hire a full time ERP Cloud Software Engineer.

Job Title  Systems Analyst 2

Job Purpose       

The job’s overall purpose is to oversee the operation of the technological infrastructure and transfer specific functions and procedures to a cloud-based platform. Work with programmers, developers, project managers, and security experts to create efficient cloud computing solutions that meet the University’s requirements. Aids the University in using cloud-based technologies to enhance business processes, increase data security, and improve the efficiency of operations. To resolve issues that may arise in cloud-based storage systems.

Essential Functions         

Uploading business information to a cloud computing platform and setting up retrieval mechanisms for data. Troubleshooting operational issues with the Cloud infrastructure with the help of technicians. Troubleshooting issues pertaining to cloud application failure or security flaws. Automating specific system operations to enhance efficiency and speed. Testing designs to find and fix mistakes and make system improvements. Offering support and guidance to meet customer needs. Resolving technical issues and documentation procedures. Training IT team members to use different cloud computing technologies. Creating supplemental instructions for cloud computing operations. Staying updated on advancements in the field of cloud computing to advise businesses and clients on industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar. This is a two-year funded position with the possibility of renewal based on future funding. Hybrid/remote work options are possible. One year or more of experience in Cloud software development (part-time experience will be prorated). Experience in an end user support role. Experience developing, designing, and writing SQL reports. Experience in object-oriented programming or web application development. Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems. Basic knowledge or current web application development methods and technologies. Ability to work outside normal work hours and be on call. Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: Background in EBS R12 and PL/SQL.Strong background in SQL Report writing and Business Intelligence (BI). Strong background in a product called Taleo. Background using Hyperion suite of projects. Certification: Hyperion Planning, Oracle OCP and Oracle Masters/Ace.

Work Hours       

Typical hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Additional hours as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Administrative Pay Grade AD47.
