UMB Bank NA, seeks a Data Governance Architect/Enterprise Data Architect for Kansas City, MO, with option to telecommute, anywhere within US.
Responsibilities:
The Data Governance Architect/Enterprise Data Architect will ensure the company's data is not compromised or breached. Manage applicable user accounts and the security of the database. Participate in collaborating in Data Architecture strategy across the enterprise. Identify and develop effective data management practices and collaborate with various stakeholders to implement the practices. Develop and publish data architecture standards, guidelines, best practices and emerging architecture and design patterns to assist the organization in implementing optimal solutions. Identify, implement and train through the identification of new tools and related procedures to provide data services to the organization. Develop and present data related services to technology teams or management. Define, create, and implement supporting processes, procedures, and metrics to realize effectiveness and efficiencies for the team. Evaluate and make recommendations to application and database teams on product data features, re-engineering opportunities, and the overall direction of data or object architectures. Perform and facilitate complex analytics needs of the company and apply traditional data warehousing techniques (OLAP/Dimension) in conjunction with emerging data management techniques and modem data platform. Lead design and implementation of data governance, data classification/curation, data lineage, and master data management standards at enterprise level. Perform complex data and data impact analyses and administer complex data architectures and data or class repositories in multiple business domains. Perform additional database administrator duties, as assigned.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Five years’ progressive experience which must include experience in the following, concurrently:
-
Building decision support systems including some of that time as a data management practitioner designing and implementing master and metadata management projects.

3 years of experience creating and presenting data architecture diagrams and influencing the use of best practices.

Profisee, Semarchy, or another modem MDM platform.

Implementing solutions in Azure, AWS, OR Google Cloud.

Position also requires the following: Experience developing data-centric solutions using a broad spectrum of technology such as SSIS, C#, T-SQL/PL-SQL, and Powershell; and working with Postman or equivalent API client.
